The past many months of harsh politics, severe weather and Covid-19 have teed us up beautifully for a Spring Awakening. The brown-to-green seasonal metamorphosis is a very real life-cycle metaphor for our natural world and our politics. Many of us, this writer included, have had the opportunity to slow down, catch our breaths and learn to pay attention to nature’s beauty. Can this raised awareness prompt us to be better stewards?
