The passing of John Lewis reminds us of the best in public service. He literally dedicated his entire life to fighting for the values we know are desirable for us, our children and our communities. But, most of us fall short in our individual roles in WE THE PEOPLE. Because we’re mortal, not as well informed as we should be, and have allowed our expectations to fall short of our Better Angels.
