WOW! TOO MUCH “BAD AND UGLY,” NOT ENOUGH “GOOD.”
I’d planned to pen a thoughtful reflection about state and national governance and politics, but then my occasional humility kicked in and I realized that others have already done this very well in several formats. Seemed better to share them as is, rather than rewrite to attempt to impress anyone. Many of you have seen some of these before. They bear repeating. I am. You’re welcome to share any and all.

IN CLOSING
What a stressful time for us, this Country and the world. Hard to keep our sanity, health and sense of goodwill. Easy to take out our frustrations on family, friends and ourselves. While working hard to be a reputable young banker and community leader, I was invited to be the designated driver of a 38-ft. Winnebago RV carrying a plethora of dedicated party animals to the World Championship Chili Cook-Off in Terlingua, Texas. The patron host explained my selection because, “ Dan, you know West Texas and you're reasonably sober.” I shepherded these Terlingua pilgrims for 3 years (early-mid 70s) , and to paraphrase Guy Clark, we were never”killed or caught.” Anticipating the worst, I had this business card made up just in case. You’ll note that it has NO contact info. MAKE TIME FOR FUN AND SILLINESS....PEACE!
